01 Botanical origins
From the Amazon and the high Andes, camu camu, red maca and sacha inchi have a long history of traditional use in Peru. We select their fruit and root extracts and seed oil for what each contributes to everyday skincare.

Plukenetia volubilis
A climbing plant of the Peruvian Amazon with a distinctive star-shaped fruit. Its seeds yield an oil rich in unsaturated fatty acids, valued in cosmetic formulation for its nourishing, skin-softening profile.

Myrciaria dubia
A small fruit that grows along Amazonian riverbanks, known for its natural vitamin C content and other antioxidant compounds measured in laboratory studies.

Lepidium meyenii
A root traditionally cultivated at high altitude in the Peruvian Andes. Its polysaccharides, phenolic compounds and amino acids have been reviewed for cosmetic applications, and its red variety is part of Wayta’s identity.
